Ok, first thing’s first. My sister had her baby today. A boy. I’m VERY happy and excited to meet the little guy when I go to Oregon next month.

Today’s interesting facts are brought to you by my new friend Rhobby. A very funny man, full of random information and hilarious ideas. I free myself of all responsibility if any of the facts are wrong in any way, by the way.

*The awesome product, WD-40, was invented at a Bremerton, WA shipyard, where the salt water would rust everything. It was actually an attempt (the 40th) at a chemical to displace water. Hence, the “WD” (water displacement) and the “40.”

*Silly Puddy was also invented by mistake. While trying to make a new modeling clay, a worker placed a prototype on his boss’s bookcase before he went home for the night. During the night, the ball rolled down onto the boss’s desk. When the boss came in the next morning and picked the ball up off his desk, he noticed the words on his paperwork had transfered onto the silly puddy.

*Wasabi as we know it in America, is actually green mustard. In Japan, wasabi is a root, looking more like a yam, and served more like the ginger we get with our sushi in the States.

*Your brain is more active when you’re sleeping than when you’re watching television.

And now for a couple questions and answers. Scroll down to see if you’re right.

1. Of a chicken’s two drumsticks, which one is more tender?

2. Why don’t Chinese teacups have handles?

1. The left one. Because chickens kick with their right foot, so it has more muscle. – 2. The wise ancient culture believes that if it’s too hot to hold, then it’s too hot to drink.
