Wasn’t it just yesterday that I was saying there wasn’t much going on in Hollywood lately? Well I guess someone heard my cry, because things have picked up a bit.

– A scathing message left by Alec Baldwin on his daughter’s voice mail surfaced the other day. More like it was planted. By Kim, or Alec, maybe even Ireland. For Kim’s statement of denial, visit Right Celebrity. I don’t mean to sound like I supported what he did, but I don’t understand why it’s become such a headline story. We’ve known for years that Alec Baldwin has a temper. And you can tell Kim Basinger is crazy just by looking at her. Their divorce has been a messy one, and although I do not condone what Alec did, I understand it. Such things happen. I have a friend whose father became a very different man during the divorce. He was the greatest dad while we were growing up, but come post-divorce time, he was wretched and said horrible things to her. Divorce is hard, it’s even harder when you’re famous. And an angry Baldwin.

– British actor Hugh Grant, has been arrested and charged with assault. He is accused of throwing a container of beans at a photographer. The fact that the photographer was following Hugh and hassling the actor as he tried to enter his private residence, seems to have been overlooked. Shoot, if some crazy man with a camera was following me into my house and I had some beans, I’d throw ‘em.

– Guess who Sean Penn bailed out of jail in the middle of the night? Rapper, turned actress, Eve. That’s right. How odd is that? Not as odd as you’d think. Apparently Eve and the elusive actor have been friends for years. When he heard that she had been arrested for driving under the influence, he went to the jail lickity-split. Who knew Jeff Spicoli was such a great friend.
