Pomegranate Martinis – Good For You, And Sexy Too!

Saturday 21st July 2007 - 1:29:16 PM

I love anything pomegranate.

When I was a kid, my mom would make my sister and I eat our pomegranates on the back porch, wearing grubby clothes. It was the best. Every time I see a pomegranate, I think of my childhood summers.

Now that I am grown, I have merged my love for pomegranates with my love of drinking.

A Martini is a strong and classic drink. Pomegranates are good for your heart. What a great combination! Plus, the red color looks pretty darn cool in a martini glass; much more fun than the normal clear.

Some of the best store bought pomegranate juice I have found is POM Wonderful. I found some POM Pomegranate Black Tea at the store this evening and am drinking a glass now. It’s a light juice, sweeter than their plain pomegranate juice. Pomegranate with blueberry is great too!

Did you know that pomegranates can help reduce heart disease? They’ve also been found help reduce systolic blood pressure. Wikipedia – Pomegranate

A Martini, on the other hand, is made with gin and dry white vermouth, and has not proven to be beneficial in any way other than making the drinker of one look cool. Wikipedia – Martini Cocktail

The way I see it, a pomegranate martini is the best way to help your heart, and look sexy all at the same time!
