R.I.P. Tammy Faye Messner (1942-2007)
After bravely battling cancer for over ten years, Tammy Faye Messner lost the fight this past Friday.
She had appeared on Larry King Live the night before, as a mere shell of her normal self, but seemed fairly upbeat for a woman in her condition.
“I believe when I leave this Earth because I love the Lord, I am going straight to heaven.”
Last Monday, Tammy Faye posted a note on her website site, expressing her undying love in God.
“I have times when I feel good and times when I feel really bad. But, I have learned one thing about feelings. They have nothing to do with faith in God!!“He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He never changes. That is what the Bible says and God’s word does not lie ever.”
Tammy Faye was a very unique woman. Although she’ll probably be remembered most for her massive eyelashes and tons of makeup, and her crazy clothes, I hope she is also remembered for the size of her heart. And her cute little laugh.
