Since I am a Chinese and I can communicate with them, I asked them why. It turned out most of their impressions of black (African American) people were came from large media corporations in America such as ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN. These media reports are so slanted to black people (especially the reports aired in China’s network), that some people naturally developed a phobia. If media continue to emphasize Asians as bank robbers, criminals on the news (such as O.J. Simpon’s case), I am sure many people will be scared of Asian too.
