What do you get when you cross a Pitt Bull and a porcupine?

The dog was sedated, while 1,347 quills were removed, and lived to tell about it.
From Wikipedia – Porcupine:
- Porcupines are rodents with a coat of sharp spines, or quills that defend them from predators.
- The name “porcupine” comes from Middle French porc d’épine “thorny pork”, hence the nickname “quill pig” for the animal.
- Contrary to popular belief, porcupines are not capable of throwing their quills, but they detach very easily and will remain embedded in an attacker.
- Porcupines vary in size considerably: Rothschild’s Porcupine of South America weighs less than a kilogram; the African Porcupine can grow to well over 20 kg.
From Pitt Bull Fact vs Legend:
- Helen Keller even had a Pit Bull as her canine companion and helper.
- Petey, the faithful dog on the TV show, The Little Rascals, was a Pit Bull.
- America’s first war dog was a Pit Bull named Stubby. He earned several medals during World War I and was honored at the White House.
From PitBullLovers.com:
- There is absolutely no evidence for the existence of any kind of “locking mechanism” unique to the structure of the jaw and/or teeth of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
- It is reported on temperament tests conducted by the American Temperament Test Society that Pit Bulls had a passing rate of 82% or better—compared to only 77% of the general dog population.

Not to seem heartless or anything, but it’s nice to see a Pitt-bull on the receiving end of injuries for a change…. you know the bastard had it coming. I think it’s a testament to the temperment of these dogs that he/she didn’t let the pain of the first several quills stop him from the attack.

JCW, before making such sweeping comments perhaps you should check with a vet and ask about dog/porcupine contact. While I was working as a vet tech we removed a face and mouth full of quills from the same Labrador Retriever twice.

Dear JCW
I have train more dogs that you will ever own in your life, i have worked with Dobermans, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Boxers, Dalmatians, Presa Canario, Chow Chow, Alaskan Malmutes, Huskies (Which are sayd the to be the to 10 most dangerous dog breeds) i have traind so many dogs and i know for a fact that dogs specialy Pit Buls, or dobermans etc. are not born agresive or evil as some people put it. They may have short tempers but with proper training they are the best dogs that you can have, a dog lives to serve its master an it will do anything to pleas you, any dog can be a dangerous dog but that is because it lacks training or wasnt socialised with people/animals (adults, children, other dogs, and cats of both sexes and all ages ) and some owner are complet idiot and should never under any sircumstances own a dog, the only contact with a dog he should be alowd is by his tv.
so please do some reserch before you do any stupid comment about a dog ok .

Not to seem mean, JCW but comments like that are what make people aware how retarded you are and that you have no clue about this breed of dog.

Dogs are bred for many traits:
Guarding
Herding
Pointing and Fetching
Just Pointing
Just Fetching
Killing
Terriers are bred to kill (Pitt bulls).
Even small terriers were bred to kill, they were bred to protect grain stocks by killing rats.
The aggressiveness of the dog breed is directly proportional to the amount of drug use of the owner. (this is not a joke, it was a real scientific study).
