Breaking News: Free Online Lyrics Website Launched – Search Over 500K Lyrics By Song

Remember that lyrics site I told you about early last week? Well guess what! It’s up and running!

I am so excited about this new addition to my site. In fact, just today I was looking up song lyrics for a crossword puzzle and I thought to myself how wonderful it will be to have such a feature on my own site.

Now you can look up lyrics to all those songs you think you know but you don’t, but you sing them anyway, and your friends get all pissy ‘cause they know the lyrics and want you to just shut up ‘cause you don’t. Well now you can find lyrics on my site and totally impress your friends. And just think of all the songs that will make so much more sense now that you actually know the lyrics.

Searching for lyrics is way easy – and free! In the top right corner there is a box of letters and numbers, with a search box below.

If you know the name of the artist but not the song, choose the first letter of the artist’s name from the box of letters. You’ll be taken to a wonderful alphabetized list of artist and band names. For example, I chose “C” for “Cher” and got a huge list of all her songs.

If you know the song but not the artist, type the song title into the lyrics search box and click search. You’ll be taken to a list of all the artists who sang that song, with the original artist listed first. For example, I searched for “Free Bird” and discovered that three bands covered the song.

Here’s a quick couple links so you can search for artist names by letters & numbers:

A – B – C – D – E – F – G – H – I – J – K – L – M – N – O – P – Q -  R – S – T – U – V – W – X – Y – Z
0 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8 – 9

There are a couple bugs still to be worked out, so you’ll have to “excuse the dust,” as they say.
