Coca-Cola Cherry & Anti-Smoking – Happened In The 80s – Feb 19th

On this day in 1985….. The Coca-Cola Company introduced to the world a new flavored Coke known as Coca-Cola Cherry. Although Coca-Cola Cherry was introduced to test audiences at the World’s Fair in 1982, the cherry flavored soda didn’t hit the shelves until 1985. Coca-Cola Cherry was the third Coke variation, with regular Coke and Diet Coke coming before. Diet Cherry Coke came into the world in 1986; in 2005 the drink was renamed to Diet Coke Cherry. Infant Boy In India Marries Dog To Ward Off Death By Wild Animals

Whaaa??? An infant boy married his neighbor’s dog in front of about 150 tribes people in an effort to prevent the child from being killed by wild animals. Yes, that’s what I said. The ritual was performed in hamlet in the state of Orissa’s Jajpur district after the boy, who isn’t even 2-years-old yet, grew a tooth on his upper gum. The Munda tribe, of which the boy is a member, sees the early growth of the tooth as a bad omen and believes it makes the...  Read More »

Chris Brown And Rihanna – Celebrities React

Phoenix was at the Ed Sullivan Theater to promote his new movie “Two Lovers” but in his messy black suit and tie with a heavy beard and black sunglasses, he seemed more interested in acting like Andy Kaufman than a talented actor. Letterman, being the professional...  Read More »

The only child of Nick and Mary Yankovic, Weird Al grew up in Lynwood where he went to Kindergarten early and skipped...  Read More »

2009 Grammy’s Round Up – Better Late Than Never.

Ok, so here it is. Finally! Since I had some things going on during the 2009 Grammy’s last Sunday night, I have turned to friends and others for their notes and opinions of the show. First up, notes from my wonderful friend I mentioned yesterday, in her own words….. U2 opened the show with an energy pumping performance. Whitney Houston came out to present R&B song of the year. She was looking as well as I remember her looking back in the late 80′s....  Read More »
