This coming July 4th weekend, I will have been in my current residence for a year. And in that whole time, I haven’t done a single thing with my yard. My landlord said I can do whatever I want to it since the only access is through the house, so he doesn’t have a landscaper for the back.
As you know, I have a dog and a turtle. The turtle lives in a blue plastic kiddie pool, but it’s really getting too small. My boyfriend found a cheap plastic pond thing which will be perfect – once a hole has been dug.
I’ve decided that a gardening party would be a great way to have my friends over, and put them to work at the same time.
I came across the Awesome Auger and am seriously contemplating buying one.
The first thing I’ll have to do to my yard, before any planting and beautifying can be done, is to get rid of the weeds and general yard crap.
With just a drill, the Awesome Auger says it will turn into a powerful gardening tool like no other. Aside from the fact that I’ll no longer have to bend over or kneel to pull weeds, the Awesome Auger will be fast and can cut through anything from weeds to hard rock.
You know, when my step-father gave me my drill, I figured I would never use it. Little did I know just how handy it could be.
The Awesome Auger has a patented spiral design with laser sharp edge they say cuts through even the thickest of roots and stumps; like Luke Skywalker’s light saber cut through Darth Vader’s arm.
Hopefully we’ll be able to drill through the hard dirt that covers the ground. Seriously, what the heck is up with back yards of rentals being so dang hard? Then we can dig holes for planting small trees and preparing an area for the new turtle pond.
I bet with the Awesome Auger, my gardening party will be a huge success! We’ll be done with the garden so quick, it will leave like twice as much time for cocktails.
Oh I’m so excited. I can hardly wait to get started.
In fact, I might just be as excited as the Awesome Auger’s awesome pitch man Billy Mays.
Billy Mays was born William D. Mays, Jr. on July 20, 1958 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Sto-Rox High School in 1977 and began his career as a salesman selling the Washmatik portable washing device to people walking by on the Atlantic City boardwalk. He developed his unique style of salesmanship by working alongside and watching other pitchmen.
Over a period of twelve years Billy Mays traveled to state fairs, auto shows, and home shows all across the U.S. selling a variety of products and tools, from food choppers to cleaning products.
