Michael Jackson Autopsy Under Way – Michael Jackson Morgue Photo
Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office chief medical examiner Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran is conducting the autopsy along with an assistant pathologist.
Results can be expected within the next few hours “depending on what the doctors need to do and how fast they work.”
When Michael Jackson’s autopsy is completed, his body will be released to his family.
The spokesman for the coroner’s office said he had no knowledge whether or not Michael Jackson had been given an injection of Demerol shortly before he went into cardiac arrest yesterday.
The coroner’s office said the toxicology tests done on Jackson will “definitely be expedited”; it will still take up to three weeks for the results.
Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s three children, Prince Michael, 11, Paris, 10, and Prince Michael Jr. (Blanket), 7, are with their grandmother and nanny.
“They are in the care of a nanny,” he tells Usmagazine.com, adding that they’re staying with their grandmother, Katherine. “Ms. Jackson will care for them and I’m sure there will be all kinds of discussions that will take place about the kids.”
Am I the only one who finds it a bit odd that there has been no mention of Janet Jackson? LaToya ran to the hospital as soon as she heard yesterday. But where is Janet?

Michael Jackson was a great artist dancer and performer, but lets not forget the problems of the past. being found not guilty of a crime just meand that the prosecutor didnt convince the jury beyond a reasonable dought. He wasnt found innocent just not guilty. If you let little boys sleep in your bed for weeks at a time is a recipie for disaster and just isnt normal. Yes he was a great performer and probably a very nice guy but why did he pay off the case in 1993 for 30 million if he was innocent. Rest his soul but lets not forget the young people he touch in the wrong way.

This poor man was never allowed to be a child. Everyone needs to go through that phase of life. I don’t believe that he ever molested a child. The parents of some children saw a quick buck and came after him with little to no proof. There is many an innocent doctor sued for malpractice who chooses to settle over going to court. Having boys over was like any other boy spending a night at a friends house. Are those boys molesting each other? I am so sick and tired of our “moral majority” throwing accusations without any solid evidence to back them up. We continue to crucify this poor man after his death. I will quote from the book that you are suppose to follow but opt, instead, to hate anyone who is different, “judge not lest ye be judged”. I’m no believer but am kind enough to allow a very talented musician to rest in peace. Go after the real creeps. Start with the bush administration. They’re the real criminals. Regardless of how he died or the false accusations made on him in the past he is and will still be the king of pop. He has impacted my parents generation, my generation and my childrens generation and it will continue forever. First of all, let Michael rest in peace now. His life has been a hard one that nonbody I know could ever handle. Michael brought us years of exceptional music and dancing that NO ONE has ever been able to duplicate, and probably never will. As far as the issues with the little boys goes, what parent in their right mind would allow their young son to go and spend weeks at a time with a man for a sleepover anyway! That is what’s suspect, and there is no doubt at all that most people wouldnt do it unless they planned to frame Michael and accuse him of those horrible things. I will always love Michael, and instead of being in poor taste, respect him like everybody respected elvis…..

Again who truely knows what mj did or didnt do,and if he did thats something he & God knows and, he would have to answer to,But that doesnt change the way he touched the world with his music and entertainment all these years. There was more good than bad that came out of him.No one wants to see a loved go like that,so try to say good things because we all have family that we care about that doesnt always do the right thing,and im sure we wouldnt wish death on them.God bless michael jacksons family and the fans and,all who lost a loved one in there life.

Wow so many utterly stupid, ignorant and uninformed people.
He was dead before they got there. The pic above is wishful thinking — had it been a regular Joe, the hour-plus after the fact attempts to revive would not have been done. Only certain medical personnel (technically) pronounce. MANY people are long gone before they get to a hospital, where they are “pronounced.”
For the record the death is directly related to the dad. He is as evil as the day is long. Shame on him!
Michael can now live the childhood deprived him here in spirit.

Michael Jackson was and still is an icon to several generations. His music started before my time, but his it still had a positive affect on me and others. I remember always wanting to be Michael Jackson. Michael was, before repetedly having face surgery,the perfect, good looking guy on earth. I always wanted to be just like him. Even still I carry parts of him with me in my heart. He and his music will forever live on. Despite his generosity toward those less fortunate and the musical contribution he offered everyone, I wish he had an even better life. I’m really hopping that those who made fun of him are really feeling the pain. Michael was nothing but good to everyone he encountered. He was never weird, but he was unique and his music and personality proved it. His music was different, his style was different, and his videos were different, although mentally he was fully a fifty year old, which made him even more appealing to his fans.
Michael Jackson is now in a better place and I hate that he wasn’t given the chance to throw one last concert before he died. I love you Michael and you will never be forgotten.

Michael Jackson has lived his life and now he awaits judgement by almighty God.1958-2009 represents Michael’s life. What’s important about those numbers? It’s the dash in the middle. What did he do in that small dash? Everyone of us will ultimately have that dash fulfilled.Then we will await judgement.Real mercy can only come from God. We will all need His mercy at some time or another. We don’t have much mercy for one another. Slander is a big weapon that is used in our day and time and all it takes is one person to slant another and then it catches like wild fire. Some are convinced and some are not…those things are not important when we have to stand before God ourselves. What’s going to ultimately matter is what YOU did in YOUR dash! All of the disrespect and slander of a dead person (and live ones too) is just an example of the evil times that we live in. When you speak evil to any capacity whether you’re black or white, represents who YOU are. Remember that when you write blogs that are demeaning and degrading with profanity that God will judge you for that. Rest assured that it will be judged along with the other things that you’ve done, thoughts that you’ve thought and impure motives that you’ve had.I too will be judged but I’m trying to get it right with God right now while the blood is still running warm in my veins! I don’t think the death of Michael Jackson is anyone’s business in the terms of whether he deserved to live or die. He was never given the chance to live a normal childhood, was pushed into fame way too early, and beaten by his father. And some of you find it easy to judge a person by what the media says? And if in fact Michael Jackson did molest a child, those parents should’ve fought harder to win that case, but what did they do? THEY DROPPED IT. and still continued to let their child spend time with him. Sounds like a stupid scam to get a lot of money. He is a pop icon, and no one will ever compare to him…ever. His music touched alot of people, and he meant something to alot of people also. So when people say he deserved to die, and got what should’ve happened years ago, that’s pitiful. okay guys if ur gonna leave bad comments about my uncle u prolly shouldnt leave any at all! were all gonna miss him! he is loved greatly! i have been crying nonstop! i was at church camp when i found out so i couldnt rush to the hospital or anything! and i just saw the last pic of him living! and i was shocked! i love him sooo much that it tore my heart out! when i found out it was intense! i was sitting by a friend and she had got a message and when i read it it said this ”Michael Jackson had a heartattack hahahah whatta fagg!” thats what the message said and i was like whatever ur lying get a life and oh we stayed at a college and i was in teh gym when all this was takin place then 30 minutes later i heard some friends of mine say michael jackson and somethin bout death and i was like what and the were like michael jackson died and i was like really and they were like yeah and i felll on the floor screaming and crying and shaking cause i couldnt believe it it was so intense and i just saw the pic of him on the stretcher and i think im traumatised 4 life! but imma go cry some more thanks 4 yalls support and love! peace

For the record Janet did race to the hospital as soon as she heard the news and there is photos all over the internet to prove it. Also in the photo above of him in the ambulance (it is him) he was already dead- he had passed before the paramedics arrived. I think it is so sad that even in his death people still can’t stop hassling him.. can’t the man just have some peace?!

OHHH, and for the people who say he “turned himself white.” You’re stupidity humors me, it really does. HE HAD A SKIN DISEASE. It’s very common and you do usually see it in black men. Whiteness on the hands and knees, it spreads. And if you even bother to look at previous pictures of Michael BEFORE he was diagnosed, you can see the difference of color on his face. He didn’t wake up one morning and just decide “HEY I’D LIKE TO TURN MY SKIN WHITE TODAY.” Makes perfect sense right? And the outcome of his plastic surgerys might look terrible, but the effects of drugs are horrible too, and Americans @@@@ up their lives because of drugs and alcohol everyday. The first time Micheal wanted to fight those charges, but to the advice of his inner circle he did the pay off. The second charge was dismissed, lack of evidence. My heart really goes out to the jackson, And My prayers are with them all. I do know what it is like to loose a very special loved one, it’s very very painfull. Iv’e always been a a Micheal Jackson fan ever since i was alittle girl. Here i am in my late 30’s and Still a loyal fan. I was born with a bad birth defect and had to under go alot, alot of reconstructive surgeries on my face all my child hood life, and it was micheal that got me through all that. his songs, his videos, and listening to him talk, and i remember a time i heard him say, every child is special. I always wanted to be able to tell him how he is an inspiration to me and how he got me through all those terrible, terrible , surgies i had to under go. and oh yeah. Im also a big janet jackson fan. i still watch that tv show good times with her in it, Janet keep rockin. with lot os love and prayers. Love Cathy

Dear to all the people who have comments on Michael Jackson. Do you know him personally? Did you ever meet him? Do you really think you have the right to think he is guilty of child molestation, even though the court ruled “not guilty” It is so easy to assume that when the media gets involved, that this person is guilty! Have a look at his life? He never really grew up. He was a child trapped in a mans body! He never had a proper childhood growing up, so when he had kids sleep over later on, he was just mimicking what he missed out on growing up. His life was about enjoying life “young” which he enjoyed doing so with children, after he could escape the clutches of his father who controlled him throughout his childhood, which he never really ever experienced the joys of being a young boy! So think about it? Whether its Michael Jackson or not, any adult, who endured the upbringing he did, being expected to perform to his fathers satisfaction, would most probaly have very similiar issues Michael had growing up and then into adult life. I believe he is innocent! I believe the parents of these kids had greed in their eyes and thought yep we can extort money from them. These kids were programmed by their parents to say what they did in court, yet when questioned their stories of what apparently happened kept changing! This is why he was proven not guilty. If something happens, even to a young child, the story will never change, because what happened is indented in their mind! So before any of you want to say Michael was guilty, get your facts right. Unless you have proof yourselves that he did the henious crime, you do not have any right to say so otherwise! Let him be. He was a father to 3 kids, was loved and adored by many. How would you feel as a parent if your children, grandkids were put through the same @@@@ that Michael endured. God only knows. And to the comment above from chuck heaton, maybe you need to have a good look at yourself, before you make assumptions! Unless god told you he was guilty, or Satin told you that he was with all his little boys….then i apologise. AMEN!

Anyone who is stupid enough to get takin to court for the same crime twice is not only stupid, but deserves all of the negative publicity that comes with it. Especially since they were both child molestation cases. I noticed that a lot of the religeous people and Liberals on here have pretty much gone out of their ways to overlook this “MINOR” thing. He was never proved guilty of any wrongdoing to children. NEVER. We will never understand his mentality on how he related to people. We should, however, give him credit for his enormous contribution to entertainment, particularly the music industry. His presence on this planet was monumental worldwide and he touched many hearts and minds. He also contributed more money to charities than any other entertainer dead or alive. Michael Jackson was a remarkable humanitarian. As far his sins go, he only has to answer to his God for those. None of us are in a position to thrown stones.

First, Michael Jackson, is dead in this photo. He was already dead when EMT’s arrived. Second, This is Michael Jackson. It is very disturbing but sadly, once again, this is him. The reason why his nose looks so funny, was and only was because when EMT’s arrived, while trying to give CPR to him, they accidently knocked off the tip of his nose. After watching home videos with his kids, it made me realise he was just a normal father playing with his kids. Surprisingly, his children seemed very well grounded, normal kids, considering his life & how he kept his kids shielded from the public. I dont blame him for covering their faces when in public, after all there is so many sickos out in this not so perfect world, who kidnap & blackmail for money! His Memorial was fantastic and his daughters speech was gut wrenching, even to a hardened heart! He deserves the recognition he has recieved, and the comment made from little kids, he did get the respect when he was alive by people who thought and knew he was innocent, and now he is dead, he is getting it much much more, which i and many others truly believe he deserves for many years to come. Unfortunately the media only wanted to say what he supposedly did wrong most of the time, because it seems to sell more, than what he did right! So you Michael haters, leave the poor man in peace, and have a little more respect for his children, who are innocent victims in this whole scenario of his life! They loved him and will always remember the man that they knew who was their father, whether he did create sperm for his kids or not, doesnt matter, he loved these kids unconditionally, just like other people like Madonna, Angelina Jolie etc who adopt children and love them as their own. Ok, so I was born in October of 83′, and was pretty much brought up on all music. I loved MJ just like everyone else, and still do. I loved every face he had, and whatever skin color he wanted to be. Unless you were with him from day one, you couldn’t possibly understand anything he went through. Even if you were there, you couldn’t see into his mind to see his thoughts or know his feelings. Picture being a superstar your entire life… I’m surprise he even made it to 50…look at all those celebrities who didn’t. He didn’t have a normal childhood, and soooo many people don’t. So some of you say he should have grown out of it…how would you suggest he had done that? I gradually became an adult, and I still have issues that stem from childhood. The only thing he ever knew was how to perform. Yeah he had siblings, but none of them were as talented. Think about it, every second of your life you’re being watched and made fun of for simple things. I mean he said it best when he said that no matter what he did, someone would find something wrong with it. Everyone goes through this at one point and time in their lives. I remember reading about Dennis Rodman when I was younger, and he said that black women always told him he was ugly or made fun of him, so he dated white women…all of a sudden the black women were mad at him for being a “sell-out”. MJ had the same problem.
Now let’s talk about this whole molestation/pedophilia thing. I honestly don’t believe he did it. One day I could be proven wrong, but till then, I’ll proclaim that he was innocent. Take a walk with me if you will… Mr. X lives in your neighborhood and everyone loves him. He invites the boys from the neighborhood to come to his house and play games or what not. Afterwards, one complains that he was highly inappropriate towards them. He’s dragged to court with his name scattered across all newspapers, and ends up settling to keep from going to jail. Which is another thing, you’d rather have money instead of a safe neighborhood? Years later he invites more boys to his house… the same families from the years before still live there, and knowing his past, let their kids go. Who’s at fault? Do you blame the pedophile or the parents? I blame the parents. You may not know who to believe, but why chance it? When MJ had the last trial and was brought up on like 8 counts, I would have just fined the parents and let him go free. If I don’t want my kids to eat candy, I’m not going to take them to the candy store…Unattended no less. Regardless of who the person is, if you don’t know anything about them, why let the kids go over his house, hang out with him, and whatever else? The fault lies with your poor judgment as a parent. Like I said though, I believe he’s innocent because he thought he was a child. In his mind he was ten. So yeah, I can see him relating to kids and wanting to do childlike things. My brother had plenty of sleepovers when he was young, and never did they sit around touching each other. Even when they got older. I have many gay guy friends that had sleepovers with boys, and even they never touched each other. Mike didn’t serve these little boys wine, he didn’t think he was old enough to drink! I’m not trying to be funny, but it’s true. He didn’t just turn this switch on and off… he wasn’t some “normal” adult one day, then some sex-crazed pedophile the next. If he really wanted to play with little boys and such, he could have simply moved overseas where they do that kind of stuff all the time with no consequences. I know I would have!
He may not be the biological father of those kids, but who really cares? As long as those kids are healthy, well taken care of, not robbing me, or doing whatever other types of mischief, I could care less. I’d rather be MJ’s kid that “Brangelina’s”! I may have to walk around with my face covered and stuff, but at least I don’t have to be forced to visit war torn countries or be compared to other babies’ beauty…
I’ve never really voiced my true opinions on Michael Jackson or his life because it was and still isn’t my place to do so. I felt the need to write this to set my mind at peace. I loved him for who he was and what he did. I loved him for being weird and I loved him for being a complete mystery. Long live the greatest entertainer of my lifetime, and I can hope to make a difference in one as he did in millions.

Okay really to the person that listed their name as Michael Jackson……….You are just DUMB! A question for all the people that are leaving very negative remarks……….WHY are you even on this site? Did your computer just bring you here against your will? You had to google Michael Jackson……..DUH! Maybe Michael Jackson’s estate should give you guys 20 mil. for being wronged! On the allegations against MJ on molestation. No one besides MJ and his ALLEGED victims really know the truth. And MJ will only have to answer to GOD for anything in his life as well as the rest of us. I would hate to think that every child that has sit in my lap, or I have hugged and/ or even slept in my bed would bring molestation charges against me because I can promise you that I would have alot more allegations than MJ does. Why cant everyone just let Michael rest in peace. The horrible claims agianst him, the tabloids, the aweful rumors … its all behind him now. Michael was found innocent and i myself believe he was. Now is a time for mourning yet some people still want to carry on the horrible rumors even after his un-timely death. Michael was a genorous giving man who loved all his fans, his faamily, and his children. Michael was a world humanitarians, an idol, and a musical genius. He paved the way for future artist, brought music videos into the next century, and changed the world for many. I will never forget what Michael has done for me and for all of humanity. I can’t believe what I’m reading..you people should be ashamed of yourselves. I’m not going to go and preach to you idiots about Michael’s innocence because I know you wont change, and I know in my heart he’d never hurt a soul. But what you people are saying about being GLAD he’s dead?! And that he got what he deserved!?? Rest in peace Michael. He was a nice person, but imperfect person. All of us are imperfect. We all have quirks and flaws and have not done the best possible things in life. In that respect we are all equal. Some say Michael did certain things and some defend him and say he didn’t do those things. The real fact is, neither of you really know if your right or the other is right. All you have to go on is what the media says (and you never hear the full story) and what you hear people say and then you draw your own conclusions whether they are right or wrong. Admit to yourself you don’t really know. We are all supposed to forgive each other and have compassion for each other. Everyone on this planet is screwed up in one way or another. I have a different opinion of him now after seeing his videos, his children. I simply believe he was a kind man who missed out on a childhood and tried to make up for it. I also think with all the operations, the nose, the teasing about it, etc., he thought perhaps IF he could change his appearance, somehow he could likewise change his past. Try to walk in his shoes? IF you had no childhood, would you turn out NORMAL? I think it’s one thing to ask ourselves that and yet another to live without it, just as MJ did. I can’t but imagine myself how horrible not having a childhood would be. My ONLY question is how he remained as normal as he did?

Its strange that our society has strayed so far away from what is considered or what was considered plain common decency and basic morality coupled with a code of acceptable human conduct to an accepted behavior that projects the message that its ok to break the law and live a life of perversion steeped in fantasy substituting for reality as long as you can afford it and you can pay enough people to help you carry on the charade.

Wow so much hatred for someone you don’t even know. You can’t believe everything you read, hear, or see in the media. MJ IS THE KING OF POP! He changed the music industry for life and influenced most of the artists today and for years to come. I personally don’t think MJ molested anybody. I saw a couple of greedy @@@ families that wanted to get paid. Child molesters can not stop themselves, so how come, this is for you lame brains that think you know everything, how come if MJ was a child molester did no other children come forward? Coincidentally the only two that did were from poor backgrounds and had greedy parents. Child molesters can’t just pick and choose and let years and years pass without touching another child. He admitted to having sleep overs alot with children, and none of the other children said they were molested.
I am a mother of three boys, I grew up listening, idolizing MJ. Given the opportunity, I would have met the man, and allowed my children to spend time with him. As a parent I would have gotten to know him first, but that would be true for my child spending the night at anyone’s house. I am a good judge of character, so had a red flag gone up, which I am sure it would not have, then I would have let them stay the night.
Many of you think that might be wrong, but that is your opinion that you based on no facts at all. I feel sorry for you, you are the type of people with hate in your heart who go around judging people with no facts at all. You are the people who make this world ugly. It will be your turn one day, and you will plead for the rest of us to have the facts before we judge you, remember, karma always catches up.
As for MJ’s family. My deepest condolences go out to you. You know what a rare diamond you had (ok except for JOE), and most of us in this world benefited from the light he shined on us. MJ will always be in our hearts and prayers. Ignore all of the negative people, for they are just misery looking for company. MJ is in a better place, away from drugs and the negativity. He is up there, entertaining to a full house. When he looks in on us, he has a smile for he is proud of his children and happy they are being looked after by the person he wanted them to be. By the way, the first demand from Jordie’s father was that MIchael Jackson finance four movies to be written by Evan. Michael was to give Evan $5,000,000 for each movie. Let me get this straight: Evan claimed that Michael molested his son, but wanted to become his business partner. Hmmmm. That’s believable.
Evan was also recorded saying, “If I go through with this, I win big-time. There’s no way I lose. I’ve checked that inside out. I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever June will lose [custody of the son] . . . Michael’s career will be over.” He also stated, “Everything’s going according to a certain plan that isn’t just mine. Once I make that phone call, this guy [his attorney, Barry K. Rothman, presumably] is going to destroy everybody in sight in any devious, nasty, cruel way that he can do it. And I’ve given him full authority to do that.”

I have gathered quite a bit of information that I believe explains the allegations and the testimony. I am working on a comprehensive report on the topic so that fans who want to know more don’t have to read all of the trial transcripts to figure it out.
This is what I’ve gathered so far:
1993–Jordie Chandler . Michael met Jordie and the two quickly became friends when Michael was 34 and Jordie was 13. Michael met Jordie when his car broke down near a Rent-A-Wreck then owned by Jordie’s step-father, David Schwartz. David helped Michael and asked that he wait for his wife, June Chandler to bring Jordie to meet Michael. Jordie, his half-sister Lily and mother June became regulars at Michael’s Neverland Ranch. This was particularly true when June and David later separated. Jordie’s father, ex-husband Evan Chandler was an aspiring writer. He also became friendly with Michael through his son. Evan apparently liked being Michael’s friend and in the spot light. However, after several confrontations where Evan acted erratically, Michael started to avoid Evan. Michael continued his friendship with Jordie, but would no longer spend time around Evan. Evan then asked June to keep Jordie for a few days. He actually had already gone to an attorney and had begun to hatch a plot to extort money from Michael based upon sexual abuse of Jordie. He gained June’s cooperation by threatening never to return Jordie to his mother. While with Evan, who was a dentist, Jordie was given sodium amytal. The drug used to be used as “truth serum” during confessions. However, it has now been discredited and is known to implant false memories. During that session, Jordie claimed that MJ had molested him. The acts alleged involved kissing and touching (masturbation)–allegations that cannot be proven (or more importantly, disproved) through physical evidence.
Before commencing the civil lawsuit, Evan Chandler met with Michael Jackson and demanded $20 million dollars. Schwartz recorded Chandler who said that if he goes through with this, there was no way he could lose. He had hired a mean, son of a b***** lawyer and would ruin Michael’s life.
After the civil lawsuit was commenced, the DA opened its own criminal file. Enter Tom Sneddon.
The DA was able to get a search warrant allowing MJ to be photographed in the nude to determine whether descriptions of MJ’s penis and buttocks area, provided by Jordie, matched. The Smoking Gun claimed that it had an affidavit by a police officer describing Jordie’s description of MJ’s penis. I won’t get into the legal technicalities of that form of double hearsay, but I will say that the affidavit indicated that Jordie’s description included that MJ was circumcised. MJ was not circumcised. (To me, that detail was the most important reason that the DA in 1993 would not have been able to proceed in 1993. Who could have made so integral a mistake if they had really viewed his penis?)
In addition, it is claimed that Jordie described a dark spot present on an area at the base of Michael’s penis. The photographer was a police photographer who had read the affidavit and was familiar with the descriptions. Therefore, he asked that Michael re-arrange his (a-hem) anatomy so that he could view the area in question. I got this from a portion of Diane Dimond’s book that was part of a free preview. She interviewed the photographer who said that while he saw this dark spot, he did not get a picture of it! Are you kidding me? The whole purpose of being there was for him to corroborate the affidavit. If such a dark spot really existed, why didn’t he get the picture? Of course, Ms. Dimond does not explain the issue of circumcision at all in her book.
The media perpetuated the erroneous belief that Jordie Chandler accurately described MJ’s privates. Lisa Marie said to Diane Sawyer that when the description did not match, the newspapers only printed a tiny article detailing that fact.
After the photographs turned out to be a bust, in the civil action, Evan Chandler decided that he wanted to review MJ’s finances. He claimed that he was at a disadvantage in litigating the case because MJ had so much money. At the same time, the DA decided that it would not pursue criminal charges against Evan Chandler for extortion. I guess that when you’re trying to build a case for molestation against a person, you cannot simultaneously bring charges against the accuser for extortion.
MJ apparently cracked under the pressure and went in to drug rehabilitation even though he was on tour at the time. Based upon the recommendations of Liz Taylor, Lisa Marie and his recently retained attorney, Johnny Cochran, MJ was persuaded to pay the Chandlers. It is relevant to mention that the attorneys who represented MJ prior to Cochran did not recommend settlement and had filed a counterclaim against the Chandlers for extortion.
Based upon the advice of his friends, MJ agreed to settle. A lot of people think that MJ settled the 1993 suit with money from his own pocket. However, when I’ve explained to people that the money was actually paid by MJ’s insurer, the payout made a lot more sense. In doing a quick mathematical calculation, I’ve estimated that in 1993, assuming 6 attorneys at 8 hours a day, it would have cost the insurer over $10 million to defend MJ for 365 days. The 2005 investigation and trial lasted 572 days. Plus, in 1993, there was also a pending civil suit and a counterclaim suit where MJ claimed extortion by the Chandlers. Civil suits can drag on for years. A conservative estimate would be 3-5 years. No insurance company is going to pay $20 million annually for defense when they can settle and be done. My estimate does not include investigators, paralegals or other litigation costs. Non-lawyers seem to think that an insurance company cannot make you settle. However, insurance is to provide you with an attorney and pay for any judgment. It does not exist to guarantee you a day in Court. Therefore, once you are sued, the insurer can make any settlements that are in their best interests. Since they are in the business of making money, settling for less than defense costs is in their best interests.
In 2004, Michael Jackson’s defense attorneys filed legal papers seeking to preclude evidence of the 1993 settlement specifically because Michael did not have control over the settlement and both Michael and his legal team objected to the settlement. If you do not agree to settle within the policy limits, an insurer can rescind the policy leaving you without coverage.
I question the motives of the Chandlers. What parent in the whole world would accept money if their child was truly molested? Besides, there would have been absolutely nothing to prevent bringing the suit after a criminal trial if MJ had been convicted. According to the civil attorney at the time, quite a bit of money had been spent in preparing the civil case. The risk to the Chandlers and their attorney would have been an acquittal in the criminal case which would have–as it did for the Arvizos–foreclosed a subsequent law suit.
As part of the settlement, all of the parties signed a confidentiality agreement. When Jordie Chandler accepted the money, he refused to testify.
However, Mr. Sneddon did not close his file on MJ. The Police Departments in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara continued searching for evidence. The DA scoured the earth (literally) looking for another witness to corroborate molestation claims in 1993 and came up with nothing. There are reports that even the people who sold stories to tabloids would not come forward and testify under oath.
Criminal claims against Michael Jackson were brought to two grand juries. Neither one would indict. It is important to note that grand juries hear the evidence that the prosecution intends to present. There is no cross-examination or questioning. Therefore, it is the prosecution’s evidence without any opportunity to rebut any of the claims. Even though this one-sided form of evidence was presented to two different grand juries, Michael was not indicted.
Evan Chandler subsequently sued MJ for $60 million claiming that MJ had violated the terms of the confidentiality agreement by denying the molestation claims. However, the confidentiality agreement specifically said that neither party was guilty of any crime or had committed any wrongdoing. The case was tossed out of court.
Evan Chandler also brought suit when MJ wrote “They Don’t Care About Us.” He claimed that the song portrayed him in a bad light because the lines “Jew me, sue me” and Kick me, kike me” referred to him. Since he was Jewish, the statements were derogatory. That suit was also tossed.
Jason Francia– The only other settlement was with MJ’s maid–Jason Francia’s mother. Diane Dimond-then of Hard Copy offered her $20K for a juicy story. Once paid, she provided a story about an event when Michael was tickling her son. The story contradicted her sworn deposition testimony about her employment by MJ and her personal observations. It appears that in this tickling event, she later claimed that MJ got too close to her son’s testicles. She did not come forward with this tale until money was offered. Further, once the story was out there with Diane Dimond, she capitalized with a demand on MJ. Jason Francia’s first session with a psychiatrist was attended by none other than Tom Sneddon. Jason Francia was never told that his mother had accepted money from Diane Dimond until years later when he was having his own financial difficulties and decided that he wanted to sue MJ.
Gavin Arvizo- The Arvizo kids were poor Latinos who lived in East LA. They spent time at a comedy club and were exposed to numerous entertainers including George Lopez and Chris Tucker. Gavin was then diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. He asked to meet Michael Jackson. MJ invited the family to Neverland. It was apparent that Gavin’s father was abusive to the entire family. Gavin’s mother, Janet eventually divorced him.
I won’t go into the background and character of the Arvizos who, in my opinion, were grifters. However, prior to the MJ criminal action in August 1998 the Arvizo family was detained on a shoplifting charge at a J..C. Penney department store in West Covina, California. According to J.C. Penney, Gavin and Star Arvizo were sent out of the store by their father with an armload of stolen clothes, the family was detained and Janet started a “scuffle” with security officers. The shoplifting charge was dropped, but Janet filed a lawsuit for $3 million, saying that when she was detained she was “viciously beaten” by three security officers, one of whom was female. The psychiatrist hired by J. C. Penney to evaluate Janet Arvizo found her to have rehearsed her children into supporting her story and to be both “delusional” and “depressed,” although Janet’s own doctor found her to be only the latter. More than two years after the original alleged incident Janet added a further charge that one of the male officers had “sexually fondled” her @@@@@@@ and pelvis area for “up to seven minutes”. Star Arvizo and Gavin Arvizo corroborated her allegations in depositions. Ultimately, the department store settled out of court with the family for $152,000. The defense was not permitted to introduce the testimony of JC Penney security guards Dexter Mason and Paul Krugman to whom Janet Arvizo apologized one day after the scuffle. However, these young children testified about sexual acts against their mother and got money out of the deal.
It is also noteworthy that Janet and her daughter Davellin Arvizo testified that David Arvizo sexually abused them during the divorce proceedings.
Once Gavin started feeling better, it appeared that Michael started to withdraw from the Arvizo family. Once while at Neverland, Gavin was told that Michael was not there. However, Gavin bumped into Michael. Gavin said he was crushed. In addition to the three Arvizo children, several other children were there including the brother and sister of Michael’s friend Frank Cascio.
The staffers at Neverland said that the Arvizo children were obnoxious, messy and rude. However, they were apparently given the run of Neverland. They knew the security codes to every part of Neverland and used them to gain access into Michael’s room, even when he was not there.
MJ agreed to do the Bashir interview in part because Bashir indicated that he would help promote Michael’s charities including those in Africa. It was in that televised interview that the world learned that children slept in MJ’s bedroom. To me, it is so significant that MJ came on (inter)national television and said that he allowed children to sleep in his bed. This was not a salacious detail that came out in cross examination, but one that MJ freely admitted and reiterated to Ed Bradley on 60 Minutes.
Strange? Yes. Criminal? No. What criminal would go on national television and admit that he was committing a crime? If MJ had understood how people would take such a statement, perhaps he would not have said it. In fact, he was able to see the program before it aired. He apparently signed off on it. However, regardless of how this statement was viewed by the wide world, it came from his own mouth.
Shortly after the televised interview, in February 2003, the Department of Children Services interviewed Gavin Arvizo and found that there was no wrongdoing by MJ. However, the Arvizos decided to bring a lawsuit against Bashir because, Janet Arvizo claimed that she did not give anyone permission to have her children on television. After going to a civil attorney, she was referred to the same civil attorney who had represented Jordie Chandler.. He recommended that she take Gavin to a psychologist–the same one that saw Jordie Chandler. Based upon his results, the Arvizos decided to bring a civil lawsuit claiming molestation.
However, rather than spending time and money conducting an investigation for a lawsuit, the attorney went to the DA–Tom Sneddon. That way, the DA would spend taxpayers’ money to conduct his investigation. Had Tom Sneddon gotten a conviction, the Arvizos would have gotten an easy payday.
Initially, the Arvizos claimed that the molestation, which included touching–again, something that cannot be easily disproven–occurred before the Bashir documentary. In other words, while the entire world was focused on what MJ had said about sleeping in the same room with children and the media was hounding MJ, that’s when MJ is alleged to have committed these acts.. However, this claim contradicted the statements he had given to the Dept. of Children’s Services. When the Department of Children Services report was leaked to the media, the Arvizos brought a lawsuit claiming that this report defamed them as it contradicted the molestation claims against Michael Jackson. In order to avoid his sworn statements in the report, Gavin later testified that the molestation began after the report was written, in March 2003. Of note, the Arvizos and MJ were at Neverland from March 2-March 5 and again from March 9-March 12. The Arvizos never returned.
Rule 1108 of the California Penal Code allows evidence of prior similar acts even if there was no conviction in the prior incidents. The judge in the MJ case permitted witnesses to testify that they saw these acts of molestation without bringing in the actual alleged victims.
Prior to the trial, it was alleged that there were a number of other victims including Macaulay Culkin, Wade Robson and Brett Barnes. All three of these men testified for Michael Jackson’s defense. Diane Dimond claimed that during the investigation, police also considered that Omer Bhatti was a “victim.” Yes, Omer Bhatti, the same guy that the media now claims is “Michael’s Secret Son!”
Tom Sneddon again scoured the earth for anyone who could support his claims against MJ. The only people who supported the claims were four disgruntled former employees who had sued MJ and lost. In fact, MJ had countersued and all of the former employees owed him money from a judgment secured against them.
Apparently, they had stolen items from Neverland. They had also signed a contract with a media company to give the company stories about MJ. Under cross-examination by Tom Mesereau, one of the witnesses stated, “I just want to go home.”
In 2005, when June Chandler testified for the prosecution, she denied that she was named in the original Chandler lawsuit and made statements that Michael was just a big kid. She also said that Michael treated her and her children like his own family. Jordie Chandler did not testify. However, according to Tom Mesereau, he was prepared for Jordie Chandler’s testimony. In an interview available on Mr. Mesereau’s website, he stated that he had witnesses who Jordie told that the accusation was untrue. In fact, Jordie told these witnesses that he would not speak to his parents ever again for what they made him say. In fact, June Chandler admitted in 2005 that she had not spoken to her son in eleven years.
Prosecutors tried to get him in but he would not show up. Friends that he told that it had never happened and that he would never speak to his parents because of what they made him say. He had in fact gotten legal emancipation from him parents.
Ten search warrants were executed upon MJ for several residences including Neverland. The police had every opportunity to find incriminating evidence but found nothing. I would note that now the deputies are showing photographs depicting various sedatives. If MJ had so many sedatives, why did he try to give the kids “Jesus Juice”? He could have just knocked them out with the sedatives. Most likely, it’s because these children did not know about the drugs that were present in the house. The DA probably left the drugs out of the case because it would run counter to his theory.
On June 13, 2005, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty on all of the charges against MJ.
On August 5, 2005, Jordie and his father were living together in a high-rise luxury building overlooking the Hudson River in New York City when, from behind, Evan hit Jordie with a 12 ½ lb. dumb bell. For good measure, Evan then sprayed Jordie in the face with mace. Jordie sought a permanent restraining order against his father. The case was initially dismissed, but on appeal, the appeals court in New Jersey determined that Jordie presented enough evidence to warrant a trial to determine if Evan Chandler presented enough of a danger to warrant a permanent restraining Order. In June 2006, Jordie finally obtained a permanent restraining order against his father.

Micheal Jackson is not a child molester…It was never proven BUT….They did prove that he was and is a pedophile..He was caught with magazines with nude little boys which by law makes him a pedophile !!!!! Madonna has more hits than Micheal Jackson so who crowned him the king of pop ..just because the thriller album and the only reason that made a hit because of the video not the song.I remember in the night clubs nobody would dance to it just watch the video when it came on…

You’re incorrect. They did not find magazines with nude boys. They found many magazines with nude women and showed many, if not all of them in the court room. In 1993, the sheriff’s raid yielded a book called “Boys Will Be Boys.” The book was an artistic photo book. Inside the book was and inscription indicating that it was from a fan. The sheriff’s office never proved that Michael had ever seen or touched the book, which was one of many sent by his fans.
Again I say, the only people who hate Michael Jackson are people who listen to the media and don’t have enough common sense to question the muck they are being fed. You should Baaaahhhhh, now sheep boy.
