Walter Cronkite was a true professional. With his death is the end of an era of news reporting. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

It brought to my mind how so much has changed since Cronkite's broadcasting days. With the advent of the World Wide Web, cell phones and digital electronics, we have access to any news worthy (or unworthy) information immediately. "Instant gratification" in media reporting seems to have lost its sheen with it being so immediate. In my opinion, there seems to be no care in the reporting of an event/issue.

Thank you, Mr. Cronkite. Rest in peace.
