I don’t really know how I feel about Michael Vick being allowed back into the NFL and signed to a team. On the one hand he’s done the time for his crime, but on the other hand the activities he was involved with which landed him behind bars were brutal and violent, and not at all the role model behavior an NFL football player should demonstrate. While taking responsibility for his actions is a good thing for his young fans to see, I’m not sure if it’s enough to erase the whole Michael Vick dog fighting thing.
After much speculation and rumors of various teams, Michael Vick has officially signed with the Philadelphia Eagles – although he’ll have to wait a while before he actually gets to hit the field.
Vick will have to pass a physical, and per the current terms of his NFL suspension he will be allowed to practice with the Philly Eagles, but is not eligible to play until their third preseason game.
Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a one-year deal for $1.6 million with a team option for 2010 at $5.2 million. A source close to the quarterback says Vick chose the Eagles football team over one other top team.
Before the news of Michael Vick’s signing with the Eagles was confirmed by his agent Joel Segal, it was reported by Dan Sileo of WDAE in Tampa on Thursday evening; followed a half hour later by Chris Mortensen’s announcement during the Cardinals vs. Steelers game on ESPN.
Only time will tell if Michel Vick is truly reformed and no longer a part of the dog fighting scene. I wish him the best of luck.

I think that when most of these reporters speak of the fans reactions to Mike playing again, that they are really referring to the White fan base, because most African Americans have no issue with him playing again. This country is full of it, because we killed thousands of people over a lie that bush told, but Vick is regarded as a villian because he funded a ring of dog killers which was wrong, but not as wrong as what the former President did. Stalworth killed a man and got thirty days and when he returns he will havee no protesters. If prison was really meant to rehabilitate a person, then Vick would be welcomed back with open arms. If Vick was a master hunter or pro Fisherman and he killed millions of Deer or millions of fish for sport it would be fine, but they are lives just the same. Who decides what lives matter and which ones dont? We have bombed women, children, men and animals alike in the name of peace and democracy and no president of ours has ever been looked at like a war criminal, so how bad is Vick really? People should think realistically before they judge, because I feel that the hatred for Vick comes from somewhere other than our feelings for dogs.

You wish him the best of luck? Are you @@@@ing me? Ugh, I am disgusted by Michael Vick. Whatever happened to making an example out of someone? If Pete Rose wasn’t allowed back into the MLB, why should Vick be allowed back into the NFL? With open arms!? What does this teach our kids?
Read my article that was submitted to the Eagle’s marketing/promotions dept by a few of my loyal readers. I am embarrassed to be from Philadelphia today.

i hope he is booed out of the stadium. he is no role model, for anyone. he is total scum. and i would be surprised if he is not assinated (Peta) when he steps on the field.
