Let me start by saying there is not a wedding in the works, however should there be one, I want naked sushi at the reception.
Friday night my boyfriend and I went to a San Francisco sushi event benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training, and I lost my naked sushi virginity. It was a very good time.
The event was held at Shima Sushi located in the Opera Plaza, at 601 Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco.
Upon arrival we were escorted to a small room off to the side of the main restaurant where we sat in a little corner booth and had a drink. I had red wine described as “sweet and juicy red and black cherry fruit with hints of spice, black pepper and coffee grounds,” my boyfriend had a Japanese beer called Asahi.
After our drinks and some Japanese appetizers, we were told the room with the models was ready. We walked thru open double doors and there on a table in front of us was a naked woman with leaves, flowers, and sushi covering her body. The leaves and flowers were the work of Petals in San Francisco.
Flowers surrounded her on the table, as well as dishes with a variety of more sushi. She remained still as people used their chopsticks to pluck raw fish from her body.
In an adjacent room there was a table with a naked man, also covered in leaves, flowers, and sushi.
Although they were both beautiful sights to see, neither my boyfriend nor I ate any of the food on their bodies. Most of it was rolled up strips of nothing but raw fish and we’re not exactly fans.
We are, however, fans of massages, and I got a wonderful 10 minute one from Kym Kuzmic, who can be reached at karunakymia@yahoo.com.
After a couple of hours, the little area got really hot so we left.
I’m so happy we went, and knowing the money goes to cancer research made it all the better.
Samantha Emily was the female model, whose business cards actually have “sushi model” listed as one of her services. The male model did not have any business cards.
If you ever get a chance to attend a naked sushi night, I highly recommend it.
