Now that certain things have lined up, it’s officially official…..drum roll please…..
I’m moving back to Berkeley!!
Of course there’s a little more to it than just that.
Last Tuesday, the 15th, I was laid off from my day job. If you follow my blog at all you’ll know that this is actually a wonderful turn of events. To be perfectly honest, I’ve been waiting – and secretly praying – for it for months.
The job was bad for me on so many levels and now with this lay off I have a golden opportunity to finally do what I’ve been trying to do for years – go back to the city where I truly belong.
This move will really have no effect on you, except that I may be a bit more sporadic with postings. My plan is to be out of my current abode by the 15th of January, so please pardon the dust between now and then.
I am an absolute true believer that everything happens for a reason, and my gut tells me (as do my family and friends) that I would be a fool to pass this up.
This news may not be a big deal to you, but it’s a huge deal to me.
I’m finally going home.
Mama, I’m Coming Home
by Ozzy Osbourne
Times have changed and times are strange
Here I come, But I ain’t the same
Mama, I’m Coming Home
Times gone by seem to be
You could have been a better friend to me
Mama, I’m Coming Home
Took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had me hypnotized
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
You made me cry, told me lies
But, I can’t stand to say goodbye
Mama, I’m Coming Home
I could be right, I could be wrong
Hurts so bad, it’s been so long
Mama, I’m Coming Home
Selfish love yeah we’re both alone
The ride before a fall
But I’m gonna take this heart of stone
I just got to have it all
I’ve seen your face a hundred times
Everyday we’ve been apart
I don’t care about the sunshine, yeah
‘Cause Mama, Mama, I’m Coming Home
I’m Coming Home
You took me in and you drove me out
Yeah, you had the hypnotized
Lost and found and turned around
By the fire in your eyes
I’ve seen your face a hundred times
Everyday we’ve been apart
I don’t care about the sunshine, yeah
‘Cause Mama, Mama, I’m Coming Home
I’m Coming Home
