Hilary Duff Embarrassed By Engagement Photos

Ever since Hilary Duff became engaged and pictures of her thanking her new fiancé Mike Comrie in a very special way hit the web, I’ve been waiting for her to come out and make a comment.

Well she finally has, but she’s didn’t exactly make the statement I was expecting her to.

Hilary Duff admits that she’s embarrassed by the photos from the day Mike Comrie proposed, but not the pictures you may be thinking of.

Apparently the young actress doesn’t mind that pictures of her with her head in Mike’s crotch have spread like a virus around the world. No, the pictures she’s ashamed of are the ones of her taking a picture of her engagement ring with her cell phone.

Duff then took a sneaky pic of her new giant rock to send to her mother – and the paps caught all the action on their cameras simultaneously. She said that she is horrified about the photos taken of her, but especially this photo in particular. She told hollywoodlife.com:

“It was awful. We had no idea they (the paparazzi) were there; it was weird. I hated that I was taking a picture of my ring and sending it to my mom!”

So let me get this straight, Hilary Duff is more embarrassed by genuinely innocent pictures of her gushing to her mom than she is by pictures of her performing oral sex?

Hmmm, I don’t know, maybe I’m just getting old and prudish, but that seems really sad to me.
