A new Public Service Announcement for the True Colors Fund has been released with various celebrities who state their sexual orientation and talk about why we should all stand up for human rights.
Seems normal enough – until actress Anna Paquin blindsides us all and says she’s Bisexual.
Not that there anything at all wrong with that!
It’s just a little surprising to hear it coming from Paquin’s mouth, who is engaged to True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer, and has always kept her personal life private.
The new True Colors Fund “Give a Damn” PSA also features Cyndi Lauper, Elton John, Wanda Sykes, Clay Aiken, Sharon Osborne, Eric Roberts, and Whoopi Goldberg. Plus two dudes I don’t know but probably should.
The True Colors Fund, the non-profit arm of the True Colors Tour and co-founded by Cyndi Lauper, seeks to inspire and engage everyone, particularly the straight community, to become active participants in the advancement of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality and ensure a strong and vibrant LGBT community.
The True Colors Fund is currently developing an extensive and innovative public education campaign to get active supporters of LGBT equality to reach out to, educate and encourage the straight people in their lives to support the LGBT community. The campaign is set to launch in late 2009.
The True Colors Fund continues to work with the True Colors Tour to raise money and awareness for LGBT issues. Over the past 2 years, True Colors is proud to have raised over $200,000 for LGBT organizations like HRC, CenterLink & PFLAG.
