I don’t think I’ve laughed so much reading a novel in a long time. Not only is Helen of Pasadena by Lian Dolan well written and an easy read, it’s quite funny. The dialogue and inner monologues are done so well that at times I felt like I was reading a transcript or screenplay; it’s quick and witty and flows naturally.
