Rihanna’s New Video S&M Makes Me Feel Funny

While Rihanna’s new song and video S&M is catchy, and will certainly be fun to dance to in the clubs, I think it would have been better suited for someone else. There’s just something about the words coming out of Rihanna’s mouth that I’m not buying.

Namely, the lyrics “Sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me,” and “Sex in the air, I don’t care I love the smell of it.”

The video, directed by Melina Matsouka, features a cameo appearance by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. He plays a dog that Rihanna walks around on a leash. In doggie fashion, he even lifts his leg and relieves himself on a fire hydrant.

Members of the media are shown bound and gagged in their seats while Rihanna is trapped against the wall by plastic wrap during a press conference. At one point she whips several reporters.
