You know what happens to people who pretend to be something they’re not? Eventually their life of lies is exposed.
Clark County Deputy District Attorney David Schubert, who prosecuted socialite Paris Hilton and musician Bruno Mars in Las Vegas for cocaine possession, was himself arrested Saturday night for possession of cocaine. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and later released.
And isn’t it ironic… don’t you think…..
But wait, there’s more!
According to the police report, which TMZ was able to get their hands on, David Schubert purchased cocaine 3 to 4 times a week; he’s also been locked out of his office and his firing is eminent.
David Roger, the Clark County District Attorney, tells TMZ, “We are very disappointed. He [Schubert] has betrayed the trust that was placed in him. He’s been locked out of his office, placed on suspension and is in the process of being terminated.” [source]
Schubert was nabbed by cops after they observed a man get into the D.A.’s car, and followed it to an apartment complex in a notorious drug area of Las Vegas; when Schubert allegedly committed a traffic violation, he was pulled over and the police made their move. The passenger inside the vehicle jumped out of the car and took off on foot.
After a short foot chase, the passenger was apprehended by authorities, and quickly told the cops that the driver of the BMW was David Schubert. He said Schubert would come see him 3 or 4 times a week and get $40 worth of cocaine each time. He also said Schubert would call him every so often and ask if anyone had any drugs for sale.
Side Note: All of this allegedly went down around the time that David Schubert was spending his day hours prosecuting Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars.
Police reportedly found a “white, rocklike substance” in Schubert’s BMW that tested positive for cocaine.
