The Death Of Whitney Houston – Collective Thoughts

Wow, it sure has been a while. I would tell you what I’ve been up to, but it would probably bore you.

So I guess the most news-worthy event that’s happened in the world of celebrity over the past ten days has been the death of Whitney Houston.

As I’m sure you know by now, the 48-year-old singer was found unconscious in her hotel room bathtub the afternoon before the Grammy’s.

I was honestly taken aback when I learned of Whitney Houston’s death. I wasn’t necessarily surprised, given her history with substance abuse, but I hadn’t been online at all that day, so when my sister mentioned it at dinner time it was a very surreal moment. It was like it couldn’t be true because I hadn’t personally heard about it yet. But alas, it was true – the world had lost another great talent.

Since then, several tributes have been given and Houston has been laid to rest.
