Hah! BEN – my grandparents have been selling Shaklee for over 25 years and they make over $60,000 a year! And they’re not even as big of sellers as they could be, they just do it on the side because they love the products.

I am learning so much from them and just signed up to be a distributor too!! Went to my first Shaklee meeting on Saturday & loved it! Excited for what 2012 brings!

I used to celebate Christmas. I also used to think I knew a thing about God’s word(being raised in church). But, I started really studying the Bible. What alot of people don’t realize is that the Christian leaders did mislead non christians to try to get them to convert. The Bible doesn’t tell the date of Jesus’ birth on purpose. He made no mention of wanting us to celebrate his birth. The gift that Jesus brought to us which is forgiveness of our sins and a “CHANCE” of everlasting life came at his DEATH not his BIRTH. He could have decided at any time that God had burdened him to heavily with this task, but he genuinely loved us enough to give his life for us. What a gift! Before his death, he commanded his diciples and all that followed him to keep doing this in remembrance of him. So therefore, we were commanded to celebrate his Death, not his Birth! In people’s eyes today, what is Christmas all about anyway. Gifts, lights, decorations, and food. Oh, how big business loves how much you worship your holidays. They will cry in the streets one day when religious holidays are done away with because of all the money they will lose. Read your bible people. This day is coming soon. Please read Gods word. Afterall, God says reading his word is the way to everlasting life!

Just signed up with Shaklee as a distributor and am designing websites as a freelance profession. Which homework has led me to this excellent discussion.

In Jan 2009, there were a couple of revisions to their policies. First was about 5 Jan, which is more easily found (PDF) than the later one: http://www.shaklee.net/pws/library/business/guidelines.pdf

A lot of the arbitrary restrictions above have been clarified. There are some pure legal trademark issues in using their corporate name, product names, or trademarked phrases and logos – but they also facilitate finding these now. That “tryshaklee.com” site above isn’t a distributor – they sell another marketing system. So Shaklee can’t do anything about it.
