Rue McClanahan, who played the can’t-help-but-love-her self-centered slut Blanche Devereaux on the 1980s sitcom The Golden Girls*, had triple bypass surgery last November 4th. At some point during her recovery she suffered a minor stroke and is currently hospitalized. Her rep told Entertainment Tonight that the actress is doing “amazingly well” and that “She’s walking and talking and entertaining the staff with her feisty personality....

Adrian Monk’s doctor has died. How the heck is he going to handle this one? Stanley Kamel, a long time actor, was found dead in his home yesterday of an apparent heart attack. He was 65. Most recently known as Dr. Charles Kroger on the USA network’s series Monk, Kamel’s TV resume was extensive.
